Colin Carmichael, Associate Secretary for Communications, expects the new online show to be a hit with Presbyterians who are craving more information about their denominational community. "The video format allows us to condense a lot of information into a short time and really allows the audience to get engaged with the content," Carmichael said.

At a special sneak preview for national office staff, Carmichael and the Communications Office staff explained that the entire PCConnect lineup is designed to collect as much Presbyterian news and information as possible and deliver it back out to the Presbyterian community through a variety of formats and schedules.

The PCConnect name is short for Presbyterian Community Connect, and underscores the community-oriented focus of the work of the Communications Office. Carmichael explained to the staff that "The line between communicating and community-building continues to thin and blur to the point that in our day-to-day work in the Communications Office they often become indistinguishable."
