Worship Committee

The purpose of the Worship Committee is to assist the minister with the preparation of worship services as needed.

Under the direction of the minister, the committee meets to plan special services for the Easter and Christmas seasons.  During Advent and Lent many families participate in a special part of the Sunday services.  Readers also read assigned sections in all the special services during these seasons.

The committee has set up a rotating schedule for Lay Readers to read the word of God in the weekly Sunday services.

Mission And Outreach

The last Sunday of each month is Mission Sunday when the congregation is kept up-to-date on mission work through Presbyterian World Service and Development, and St. Paul’s involvement in the community.  A potluck finger food lunch follows the service for a time of socializing.

St. Paul’s Church supports various organizations:  Settlement Houses Food Bank; Gate 3:16 The Inner City Mission; a Christmas Angel Tree supporting Gate 3:16; a Christmitt Tree supporting the Salvation Army and Settlement House; collecting eyeglasses or toonies for the Christian Blind Mission; collecting used stamps for the Leprosy Mission; coins banks for Presbyterian World Service and Development; Christmas Fund Drive for local agencies; a Prayer Shawl outreach program supporting people in the Palliative Care Unit at the hospital and others in need of prayer and comfort.
