2012 Reading of Dickens - A Christmas Carol
A special reading of "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens, held on Saturday December 1, 2012 at St. Paul's. Readers were Nancy Bone, Joan Niven, Nelly Van Veldhuizen, and Dale Ferdinand-Payne.
Holy Humour Sunday - April 15th, 2012. The premise is that God has the last laugh because of Christ’s resurrection. We lighten up, we relax, and recall the joy of the Lord in the midst of the Lenten pilgrimage. We celebrate God's presence and goodness in the midst of life. We tell jokes. We share inspirational stories with humorous twists. And we still hear the gospel of the day. Everyone was invited to wear bright colours, funny hats, etc.. We laughed, sang and worshiped the living Jesus Christ.
A Remembrance Day Service was held on November 6, 2011. Veterans Jack Cowle, Garth Gillespie and Don Munro were accompanied by the Colour Guard from Royal Canadian Legion Branch #637, Sergeant-at-Arms Don Edwards and Janice Graham-Tate.
The Choir once again participated in The Big Sing at Roy Thompson Hall on November 6th. All enjoyed the sound of the choir of 1000 voices, Massed Pipes and Drums of The Highland Creek Band, the renowned North York Temple Band of The Salvation Army and a special guest choir from the UK! This amazing gathering of choirs and bands performed some of the world's greatest hymns and inspirational music.
"Understanding Our Neighbours"
During a five week program, members of Faith Lutheran, Knox Presbyterian, Northminster United and St. Paul's Presbyterian churches, gathered to learn about and understand our neighbours from various faith traditions. We journeyed together in faith and hope as we listened to our guest speakers. Click on the "Understanding Our Neighbours" title above to read more about the various guest speakers.
The 2011 Beef Supper was a huge success! Congratulations to all who helped.
A bonny wee time was had by everyone who attended the St. Paul's Robbie Burns Seniors' Lunch on January 31, 2011.
In 2010, St. Paul's Church celebrates its 60th Anniversary. An Anniversary Service was held October 31st with The Rev. Barney Grace as the guest preacher.

2010 Spaghetti & Lasagna Dinner
Again in 2010, St. Paul's Spaghetti and Lasagna Dinner was a success. Nobody left the church hungry!
St. Paul's Robbie Burns Seniors' Lunch was held on January 25, 2010.
On Sunday, November 15, 2009, a service of dedication was held for the new front doors. These doors were donated by the late Roy Cornish in loving memory of his wife, Loraine. A plaque was presented to St. Paul's by Christina Thompson-Rowe, their granddaughter. Also attending the service were Roy & Loraine's grandson, 2 great-granddaughters and 2 great great grandchildren.
A Remembrance Day service was held on November 8, 2009. Of the 11 veterans of St. Paul's, 5 participated in the service. During the service, stories of the veterans' contributions during WWII were shared with the congregation. In total, there were 11 stories - 8 from our still surviving veterans and 4 from their comrades who have since passed away. Again in 2009, St. Paul's Spaghetti and Lasagna Dinner was a success. Nobody left the church hungry!

The Calvin Group hosted a Spring Fashion Show on April 23rd, 2008, featuring fashions by Monica Rose of Bowmanville.
The Calvin Group holds many fund raisers throughout the year. One project is a Bridge night. In 2008, there were 18 teams which met in player's homes on a rotation basis throughout the winter months. On the final night, the Calvin Group catered a buffet dinner.
On April 19th, 2008, St. Paul's held a successful Spaghetti and Lasagna Supper. There was lots of great food and lots of happy customers.
St. Paul's holds a monthly Seniors' Lunch and it was decided that January 2008 would be a Robbie Burns Lunch.
Jennifer Grander, the organist of St. Paul's, organized a mass choir consisting of the choirs of St. Paul's, St. Luke's, Knox Presbyterian Churches and St. Gertrude's Roman Catholic Church. These choirs joined their voices on December 9th, 2007 and presented an evening of Christmas Music.

Members of St. Paul's Church celebrated Centennial Year 1967 by wearing period costumes.
