History (cont'd)

The first Sunday School was held September 17, 1950 with Roy Hamilton as Superintendent. There were 58 children and 40 adults in attendance that first Sunday. By December, the Sunday School enrollment had grown to 150 children and 17 teachers. Mrs. Norma Copithorne, still an active member of our congregation, was one of the teachers, teaching the class of Grade one girls. (Click on picture to enlarge)
